Thermochromic Ink when added to a check face makes the document sensitive to heat. An effective way to verify thermochromic ink is to simply rub and hold the check face between the thumb and finger or breathe on the image. If it is present the image will fade as it becomes warm.
Coin reactive ink is used in the endorsement portion of the back of the check. It is activated when you rub it with a coin and see an image appear underneath.
